Does your bathroom have dated tile?

Tile resurfacing not only makes the tile and grout a fresh, uniform color, but it also seals any grout lines. This can prevent mildew build up. Tile refinishing is especially helpful when dealing with tile over old plaster and lath walls, which most remodelers don’t even want to touch.
While tile walls can easily be refinished, tile floors can be tricky. They tend to get much higher traffic than wall tiles, which can lead to premature damage. Also our coatings are applied in 2 or more applications. However, since we cannot touch the wet surface between applications, floors may lead to a multi day job. For these reasons, we may not be willing or able to do a floor. Shower floors, or floors where there are not usually shoes worn can be refinished successfully.
It should be noted that any loose or missing tiles, or missing or damaged grout, must be repaired prior to refinishing. In some instances we are able to perform these repairs, but we would need to assess that before our scheduled refinishing date. If mold or mildew is present, it should be sprayed with bleach at least 24 hours before resurfacing is done, to help prevent recurrence.
