How do I care for my newly
refinished bathtub?
Freshly refinished items need care
A 24 - 48 hour cure period is required to
ensure the refinishing materials can properly
adhere and bond with your refinished
bathtub or shower. But knowing how to
properly care for your refinished bathtub or
shower can ensure it looks great for years to
come.
As with anything, the lifespan of your newly
refinished bathtub depends on how you
care for it. To achieve the longest life possible,
we recommend a weekly light cleaning of
your new surface.
We recommend a home based cleaning
remedy: a simple 50/50 solution of White
Vinegar and warm/hot water mixed in a
spray bottle, with a little bit of liquid dish
soap, which works great. However, you could
also use products like Scrubbing Bubbles,
Simple Green or Lysol Tub and Tile Cleaner.
Let your preferred cleaner soak on the
surface for 1-2 minutes and then wipe off
with a damp, soft rag or soft sponge. For

What products NOT to use on
a refinished bathtub
Please Do Not use any scouring pads or SOS
sponges, bleach or products that contain
bleach. Also, stay away from any harsh acidic
or abrasive cleaners. Do not expose the
surface to hair dyes as this can cause
permanent staining.
NO SUCTION MATS
The refinished surface of a bathtub, shower, or
one piece unit should never have a suction
based mat as it can damage the refinished
surface.
ONLY USE MATS MADE ESPECIALLY
FOR REFINISHED TUBS
